Get together with the kids in the kitchen and create this Pilgrim Hat cookie craft to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Ingredients
Directions
1. Place cookies on a wax paper covered surface, fudge stripe side down.
2. Melt candy melts in the microwave according to package directions.
3. Dip a marshmallow in chocolate until coated and the place on a cookie (see photo).
4. When chocolate is set, make a hat buckle using yellow decorator icing.

- Yellow decorator icing

I thought other readers would enjoy an a ctivity I got at the botanical gardens. Have you or your children "Ever Seen a Plant Move When You Tickle It?" If you wanted to share your love for nature w ith your children, here is an activity I have done with mine. This may change the way you and the kids react to plant s for ever. To make witch hats for Halloween, swap t he marshmallow for an unwrapped Hershey 's Kiss, and attatch with a dot of oran ge frosting, finish off with an orange bow instead of a yellow buckle.
