When someone throws a house party around the holidays getting dressed for the event can be a challenge. If you show up and you're the only one wearing jeans you feel like a scrub, but if you're the only one in a dress and high heels you're that girl -- you know, the one who tries too hard.

The Perfect Outfit - House Party

Base your outfit around a pair of colored skinny jeans or dark wash denim skinny jeans. These can dress up or down quite easily.

An oversized sweater will keep you warm, and if it's good quality will look nice enough for you to fit in at any party, fancy or not. The fullness on top balances out the skinny jeans on the bottom.
